What We Do……..
We are not legally trained and as such can’t offer an official ‘legal advice’ service. Our product is based on personal experience and prior knowledge of various court procedures which we can then provide ongoing support for in anything you wish us to consider.
There are actually clear advantages to not using a qualified solicitor, something I found out myself;
- Our costs are a fraction of solicitors / lawyers / barristers
- We communicate in understandable English and don’t rely on legal jargon to achieve results, also saving a lot of confusion with clients.
- Unlike other alternatives, you will be provided with a 24 hour mobile contact and direct email with myself. (Staff may deal with basic administration in my absence)
The following list isn’t exhaustive as we can offer help in many specific areas, so do please contact us for more information;
- Small Claims Procedure
- Family Courts Procedure
- Thorough Investigative work on cases prior to and during court proceedings, with the aim of avoiding them where possible
- Drawing up basic Terms and Conditions for your Business
- Legal Document Preparation
- Regular Business Legal Support Packages
- Form Completion
- Full Communication with the third party (until court proceedings commence)
- 24/7 Contact with one of our staff so you can call in any times of angst or worry
- We will act as a Mckenzie Friend should any case reach a trial in a court room. You will likely still have to talk and represent yourself in court but we can be there to answer any questions or to offer support, including leading up to the trial itself. See the link for an in depth explanation.
Initially we will invite you to our office or we can visit you at your business, home address or a neutral location suitable to all parties. This will be for a free of charge consultation for 30 minutes whereby we can be provided a brief outline of your requirements. We will hopefully provide you with an answer there and then, firstly as to whether we feel we can help you and secondly what we feel the likely outcome will be for you and thus the appropriate action we would advise. It may be that we require further investigation prior to any decision as each case is unique and this will be chargeable but at reduced rate.
We are of course a business; however please be assured that at the consultation stage we will be as honest as possible with you. It will not help us as a business to give false hope as we rely on positive feedback to continue to help others. The business model is also bourn about from my personal experiences and I want to help others, not make matters worse. It goes without saying that providing false hope to our clients is clearly detrimental to you too.
If we don’t feel we can make an informed decision at the consultation, we will contact you shortly afterwards to confirm (unless we require the extra chargeable time as referred to above). Every case is different and it may take us a little longer to gauge the case specifics and needs.
Either way, should both parties feel that we can help you, we’ll provide a full written quotation and breakdown of our provision of service for your specific case which you can then agree to or forward questions or queries thereafter.
